Reach for the Stars 2009

Students in schools all around Australia, have been collecting, sharing and investigating data!

Features of Reach for the Stars include:

• ‘Real-life’ mathematics
• Quality learning through engaging activities
• Opportunities for cross-age collaboration
• The whole school can get involved in one activity
• Age-appropriate materials from pre-school to secondary school
• Participation is FREE
• Involvement is flexible - each teacher can choose the level of their involvement
• 125 647 participants in 848 schools shared data in 2008

In 2009, students have been engaged in a nationwide collaboration to share and explore data about their first names.
